Arrecife will place more than 800,000 LEP bulbs to illuminate Christmas, and has begun the installation of the first lights in the neighborhoods and in the city centre.

According to the City Council, "there are more than 800 figures, arches, porticoes and garlands that can be seen adorning the streets, squares and parks in the coming days."

The centre of Arrecife will be the focus with Town Hall, El Reducto beach, Avenida Marítima, Islas Canarias park, José Ramírez Cerdá park, shopping areas, Castillo de San Gabriel, Puente de las Bolas and Charco de San Ginés.

From the City Council they point out that in this way the open commercial areas acquire “a Christmas atmosphere that invites you to go out and visit the hospitality establishments and shops that have suffered, like many other sectors the drastic consequences derived from the reduction in sales due to Covid -19,

"This year the Christmas lighting brings surprises because we want citizens to feel proud of a city that they love and that wants to experience Christmas on its streets and in its neighbourhoods," said Mayor Astrid Pérez.
