Lanzarote has experienced a very significant increase in active cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, probably the highest spike in infections since the health crisis began. The Cabildo has reported, through its web page dedicated to informing about the evolution of Covid-19, that this Saturday there are 22 patients, 12 more than on Friday.

According to official information, of the 22 patients, eight come from the rest of Spain, one from the United Kingdom, five are irregular immigrants and eight correspond to local cases. That is, 14 cases are imported.

The last 11 registered infections belong to seven national tourists and four residents.

All those affected by the virus are in home isolation; This means that they are either asymptomatic or have mild symptoms. Likewise, it should be noted that 120 cases have been registered in Lanzarote since the beginning of the pandemic.
