The year 2024 is shattering all tourist influx records in Lanzarote. Since January, and month after month, César Manrique airport has been setting historic highs. It also did so in June when 688,846 travellers were reached , according to Aena.
Tourist arrivals at Lanzarote airport have increased by 4.6% compared to June last year when there were 656,954 travellers.
Compared to a decade ago, the growth is 30.7%. In 2014, the airport recorded 477,225 arrivals in June.
In June, the Canary Islands' airports together slightly exceeded 4 million passengers , 10.7% more than those registered in the same month last year.
Gran Canaria Airport recorded the highest number of passengers in June, with 1,105,199, representing an increase of 11.8% compared to June last year. It was followed by Tenerife South Airport , with 984,673 passengers, representing an increase of 12.9%.
After César Manrique, the airports of Tenerife Norte were located with 578,904 (+12%); Fuerteventura , with 490,515 (+9.5%); La Palma , with 118,268 and the highest percentage growth, with an increase of 16.8%; El Hierro , with 26,500 (+15%) and La Gomera , with 9,953 (+15.9%).
