In addition, although a decrease in the number of domestic tourists has been recorded , their spending has also increased by 4.67% , underlining the qualification of the market in this segment.
The president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and head of Tourism, Oswaldo Betancort, has valued these figures as a " reflection of the success of the policies implemented ." "The increase in tourist spending shows that we are achieving our objective of qualifying the market.

Despite a slight decrease of 0.8% compared to July 2023 , Fernández stressed that "the summer has been very positive so far, with strong growth in markets such as the British, Dutch, and others, although it is true that we have seen a significant decline in national tourism , the reason for which we are investigating."
