Lanzarote registers its highest peak since the beginning of the pandemic: the Cabildo reports 69 more cases and 317 active

On Thursday there was a new hospital admission of a 55-year-old woman

Coronavirus cases continue to skyrocket in Lanzarote, which had just recorded its worst day since the start of the pandemic. This is reflected in the data released by the official website of the Cabildo , which has reported 69 new cases in just 24 hours, bringing active cases on the island to 317.

In addition, this Thursday there was a new admission to the Molina Orosa hospital of a coronavirus patient. This is a 55-year-old woman who has entered the facility enabled for Covid patients. Of the eleven patients in the hospital, only one is in the ICU, while there are 306 people in home isolation.

The Ministry of Health had notified 17 new positives up to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, placing the active cases in Lanzarote at 282. In the case of the regional government, its updating of data tends to further delay the notification of new positives, but also the discharges of people who have already overcome the disease. The latter means that the number of active cases it contributes is usually higher, so it could increase when you add the new diagnoses from the past day.
