Canal Gestión has cut off the water supply in various towns in six of Lanzarote's seven municipalities . This has been made public through its website. These new cuts are due to " the shutdown suffered by the Lanzarote IV desalination plant due to an electrical failure , a circumstance that has a direct impact on the levels of the main supply tanks of Zonzamas."
By areas, the north of the island has six towns that suffer from suspension of water supply. In this case, the affected areas are: Haría, Los Valles, Arrieta, Punta Mujeres, Guatiza and Máguez.
Also, to these are added San Bartolomé, La Villa de Teguise, Nazaret, La Santa, El Cuchillo, Soo, Tao and Muñique, whose supply is interrupted for the same reason.
Meanwhile, in the south of the island, it is the towns of Tías, La Asomada, Conil, Mácher and Uga that remain without water at this time.
