The Civil Guard has identified two people as alleged perpetrators of twelve crimes of fraud related to vacation rentals in Lanzarote . Those investigated are a 44-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, who already had a police record for similar events and who have been brought to justice.
The Team initiated the investigation as a result of a complaint filed during the month of November at the main office of the Civil Guard of Tías. The complainant reported that he had made a payment worth 1,500 euros as a reservation for a villa, and that from then on they had "ceased all communications" with the alleged owner.
