The implementation of the COVID certificate in the Canary Islands, which is by voluntary use, comes into force this Friday for all sectors that are subject to capacity or schedule restrictions. The measure, which has been ratified by the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC), comes into force after the publication today in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands (BOC) of the Order of November 29th, 2021. In the case of Lanzarote Most of the locals consulted have indicated that they are not going to ask for it.
Its initial validity will be until January 15th, during which it will be subject to monitoring and evaluation. In this sense, it is reported that, if it is deemed necessary, an extension of this period of time may be requested.

For the implementation of this measure, the Canary Islands Health Service makes the web app www.lectorcovid.com available to citizens, accessible for mobile devices, which facilitates the reading of the QR code of the EU Digital COVID Certificate. It is easy to use in order for the measure to be effective.
