Canarian Coalition has demanded the implementation of a Strategic Security Plan that puts an end to the "serious insecurity problems" that it affirms exist in certain points of the municipality of Tías, especially at night.

“We are talking about truly serious situations: tourists who report attacks in the Atlántico Shopping Center area, who alert through social networks of the continuous existence of robberies, beatings, drugs, prostitution and all kinds of threats that are becoming more and more frequent. and that is causing fear and a feeling of insecurity to grow both among our neighbours and among those who visit a municipality that, unfortunately, is beginning to be considered one of the black spots on the island”, warns the CC spokesman in Tías, Amado Biscayan.

Faced with this situation, the nationalists have presented a motion that will be debated in plenary this Tuesday, in which they propose the creation of a security table made up of all the political forces that make up the Corporation and those responsible for the Local Police, Guardia Civil and security technicians.

Within its proposal, CC insists on the creation of a specific nighttime security plan in the "controversial area of the Atlántico Shopping Center", in the town of Puerto del Carmen, with the reinforcement of Civil Guard agents, and that it be started urgently the process to cover the vacancies in the staff of the Local Police.

In this regard, Vizcaíno states that "the government group led by José Juan Cruz has not only not been able to complete the process to cover the five existing vacancies in the workforce at the beginning of the mandate, but given its apathy, three years later, there are not five but 14 unfilled positions in the Local Police, due to the retirement of several of the agents".
